Easily accessible by Willamette Highway 58, it is a very nice serene recreational area. There is at least one boat launch in the area, and close to the town of Lowell with food and facilities.

Great spot for pre- Sunrise color show visited Sunday 5/23/21. Peaceful place. 5:50am. Just stopped for a break from driving. Stopped again at 12am the following morning Monday 5/24/21 and there was a lot more people I saw than the previous morning.

Beautiful lake with plenty of parking and easy access for kayaking. The lake was very calm and only a few other boats creating some small waves. Such a pleasant day, definitely want to go back soon!

Very pretty. It's a nice reservoir, not a whole lot to look at on the side we were on. People still swam despite there being very little beach and poor access to the water

This is where it’s a happening! All things Big & small are right here in my Home Sweet Home... Lowell, Oregon ! Lowell is Beautiful and just the right size for all who decides to make this sweet and quiet little town their families next stop by to enjoy the beautiful Willamette forest in the backdrop as well as the many hiking trails and the water sports or to enjoy the camping grounds as well! I recommend a big helping of peace and tranquillity that goes along with all of these wondrous activities for your souls and hearts to take in. To try, after all the hard things in all our days that have been and are trying their best to tear at the our very core of what makes us be the best parts of our why our country USA

Beautiful little lake with lots to do. Swim, sail, fish or just play in the water. They have drag boat races 3 times a year in June, July and September. There are bald eagles and osprey that fish the lake and you can watch them as they do it. So cool! They also have races with the long boats that have several people in them. Never watched them but it pulls quite a crowd from multiple states.

A decent place to play Frisbee in the park area near the dam. As lakes go, there are far more exciting choices up the road. It's popular with water skiers, though. Since Dexter Reservoir is basically for regulating flow from Lookout Point Reservoir above, it remains at a pretty steady level despite fluctuations in the water level of Lookout Point Reservoir. The covered bridge that is now alongside the newer road across the lake to Lowell can be of interest to some, as well as a place to go fishing nearby.

Lovely scenery heading towards the lake. Very easy to find the side to go into the side where you can do a lot of activities, fishing, swimming and plenty of regular things you like to do. Ride jet skis, canoe, paddle boarding and kayaking, riding on a ski biscuit behind a boat and even water skiing. Dogs love to play fetch in the water. Take the plunge so to speak. I highly recommend visiting there at some point. You won’t be disappointed.
